Bill Guinee sometimes you gotta beg. Lol it’s the difference between eating and starving for some. But yeah I agree. Personally I don’t ask for tips at all. If they tip me I turn it down. If they insist I take it.

Great video a few things. I have used in the past. If you are familiar with buddha papers. I pull the papers out of my wallet and ask my spectator would you pay $20 to see a really good trick? Usually the answer is no.So I ask what about $10 they once again say no sometimes yes. By the time I get down to $5 most say yes I would like to see a really good trick I take the money and fold it up and place it in the buddha papers fold all of that back up snap my fingers unfold the buddha papers and their money has vanished and in its place is a card that says on the " a really good trick" when they flip the card over on the other side is my business card. So you make a tip and get your card in their hands. Second thing I normally do not except tips anymore. Unless the guest is super pushy about giving me the tip. But most of the time I tell them to give it to the waitress or waiter. Having them on your side is a great thing. Just my opinion on that.

vonbodan another great point! Sometimes the wait staff thinks you are trying to steal their tips. If you ever get tipped it may be a great idea to share with your wait staff or tell the patrons to give it to them directly. This will help tremendously when you are working the restaurant.

OBrienMagic yes you right, in france if your are good people will tip
