My girl laid today, I don't have any superhatch as of now unfortunately I was going to get some by the weekend but Echo decided to drop early 😅 I've put my eggs in spag moss and Eco earth for now, marked the top of the egg etc. I've put the eco earth and egg in an old plastic container used for crickets, with the lid on. Sprayed the moss, not too wet not dripping. How many times should I spray before I obtain some superhatch? Thank you🐣

Question.. cause I plan to do the same.. if the eggs are in the Dixie cup and then also in a cooler.. and they need to breathe.. doesnt the cooler not allow air inside.. causing to suffocate? I'm only asking cause I wanna do the same if theres a solution or answer to that. Thanks.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I did a substrate change and found eggs. Didnt know i had a male and female in a cage together (just upgraded them to separate 20 gal longs) I found the eggs and panicked. Had them in my hand for a min now theyre in a reptile carrier. But this video Thank you so much.

I am using eco earth right now as I had a suprise clutch laid, I dont have any stores near to get the right substrate. How much can I spray and how can I water to make sure they dont develope molt?

Do not spray directly on the eggs. Make sure your substrate is moist but not dripping. Keep in a tight container with little ventilation.

They can stay there any length of time as long as it keeps moisture so the eggs don’t dry out.

I just got a crestie from a ReptiCon not knowing she was gravid😂 woke up this morning and was wetting her eco earth and found 4 eggs. 1 was moldy! The other 2 seem to be doing well. I candled them and saw good vessels on them. I feel bad because they were buried and I have no idea how long they have been there!! Any tips?

Congrats on the new baby. It happed for me too. I gotten females and vendors tell me that they haven’t been paired and they were gravid. Creaties can retain sperm for a long time. If it’s moldy it’s usually not good. Keep babies in smaller containers when they hatch and watch for stuck shed.

Oh, and I've read that peat moss is okay to incubate? I'm not too sure about this...

Yes it can be used. I have used this in a pinch when I ran out.

Is eco Earth a good substrate for females to lay their eggs I heard egg staining and it affects the babies is that true?

I have used eco earth for years with no problem. It does stain the eggs a little but it doesn’t affect the eggs. It should be wiped off as much as you can to prevent molding. But I never had an issue.

If it has mold it means it went bad. I would separate it from the other ones. Check you incubation medium too. If it’s too damp that can cause mold too if the eggs still have some of the substrate they were laid in.

I know this isn’t right, but we have a male and female in a cage, we are not trying to breed them but we want tiny little cresteds so we are going to see what happens

Tiny geckos are the best. Just make sure you have enough room for the babies.

Substrate can really be anything that hold moisture and prevents mold. I use a clay substrate repashy super hatch.
