How to inspect a bridge using drones? | Hammer Missions

Is there a way to complete this workflow without a good internet connection? I have a bridge inspection coming up that is possibly out of cell range and it is several hours away from home, so I cant make two trips.

Thanks for the question! If a good internet connection or making 2 trips is not viable, then the best workflow would be to create the facade flight plan using our Fly-To-Draw feature: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqGWYYZ8bMZpgZI&ab_channel=HammerMissions This feature allows you to create a second flight plan on site by using the drone as a way to mark the start and end points of the flight plan.

@@HammerMissions Thank you! I am curious what flight plan should be used to create the 3D model to plan the Facade inspection? Would it be most appropriate to use 3D Model or Facade Map and what is the difference between the two with this particular workflow?

@@EDSC_CANADA We recommend the 3D model mission for the top (nadir) shots and the facade mapping / inspection mission for the side shots 👍 It's important to ensure that the top and facade shots overlap with each other so that they can be stitched into one coherent model.
