Thank you, THANK YOU for publicizing and sharing your knowledge on this subject. SO many videos out there skip right over this stuff. Sure, it's boring technical stuff...but its golden for DIY people like myself doing a swap! Bravo!

iJeff Texas. Just received my L86 brand new harness from Mitch. The quality is A1, the labeling makes it super easy to connect to my 2012 Silverado. Well worth the money to pay for his craftsmanship. He’ll answer any questions or assist you with your swap. Thanks Mitch!

When getting the motor with transmission is keeping the stock harness i have to look out for or if it doesnt come with one you guys replace it? Whats the best option?

My LT1 with 6L80 out of a 2014 Silverado is on a pallet. When it was palletized they blocked it up on the oil pan and then tied it down to the pallet with heavy gauge steel wire and twisted it tight. Every opening was either capped or plugged, including the exhaust. I was given every wiring harness under the hood including the fuse block. Ive got a big box of wire harness that I have no idea where they go. Looking at the exhaust, the passenger side is tucked in nicely and should clear the frame on my 37 Chev PU. However, the driver side is canted out. For wheat reason I have no idea, maybe to clear a drive shaft on a 4wd? Mine is out of a 2wd. This is a very clean engine and I was shown pics of the truck. It was very clean as well. 109,000 miles

Any recommendations on the tuning specs for this combo? I did a cammed L83 8speed swap in my 80 c10.. i like the power im getting but the shifting is fidgety as hell, thanks for any help u may provide.. Badass videos bro, ur c10 was the main reason i went with the genV setup, loved how ur truck sounded and performed

Mitch, on a 4 doors JK or JL swap, would you be able to use the T-case that comes in this set up or would it be better/easier to just reuse the 241J that comes in the Jeep.? My impression is that the GM T-case if it fits in the swap set up is better that reusing the 241J. Thanks.

I believe you could use the gen v tcase in the jks. You will use the controls from a gen v gm truck to operate it.

So why do I need to use my Jeep 241J tcase in my JKU swap and not the GM case? Would this not save on having to use an adapter and is it simply because I wouldn't have to change yokes/driveshafts etc? How does the GM case compare to the 241 size wise, length etc. thanks

The front drive shaft slips into the t case.and is not bolted to it. This means if you use a lot of articulation the shaft can fall out of the tcase. It is designed for independent front suspension where the front axle pumpkin does not move
