INSTALLED A TOGGLE SWITH TO INTERUPT THE PUMP> Great video. I installed mine but I also installed a water proof toggle switch (ran it through/ under the storage compartment for easy access without having to remove the seats). I just interrupted the positive wire. I didn't like the pump running all the time; draining the battery and noisy.

Isn’t that tube you connected to made to auto bilge your ski while the engine is running? The only thing the electric bilge does is pump the ski out while the power is keyed on but your engine isn’t running. It won’t help you get your ski back to shore if you have a leak.

You need to be moving as well in order to start producing vacuum suction and It's always good to have extra safety equipment when on the water!

Do you have any idea why the bilge pump is a 24v pump installed on a 12 v system? Is this on purpose to make it run slower?

Purposeful Slower Operation: Running a 24V pump on a 12V system will make the pump operate at about 50% power (lower RPM, reduced water flow). Reduced Battery Draw: It will also draw less current, useful if the pump doesn’t need to move water at maximum capacity and the goal is to save battery life. Less Wear and Tear: Operating below the pump's rated voltage reduces motor strain, potentially extending the pump's lifespan.

@@adventurechannelcanada Thanks for the reply. I can understand why they would want to run it slower esp, since it is always on. Also, the outlet is pretty small so may limit the output as well.

Any idea if this works on 2018 GTR-X? I don't see a fuse box in this location. Only find one by battery and cord is not long enough

Yes, you should definitely disconnect your battery before working inside the fuse box or doing any electrical work on your PWC.

Great video guys very informative, with the pump running constantly would that burn it out i wonder how long they last ? And lets say for instance u are taking on water and you are from from home do you think you can make it back with this pump ?

Thanks for watching. The pump is designed for wet and dry pumping so it won't burnout. I've put about 30 hours on my PWC and the pump is fine. Its suppose to keep you afloat until you get to safety. I've never taken on water so I' assuming at this point!

Hi guys having trouble locating the instructions don’t seem to be available on the brp instructions site , i have a 2018 RXPX and all looks the same apart from the fuse box - does not appear to be a bilge pump fuse , assuming i may need to pick up power from another fuse any advice would be appreciated !

So this pump is running constantly , so basically you don't know if the pump is working or not , the only way to find out is to take on water and see if it's pumping ??

Correct, the pump runs continuously, the only way to know its working is the sound the pump makes. No way to know if your taking on water as the pump expels the water under the Sea doo near the exhaust. Some folks find it pump noise annoying while trying to fish, etc.

I noticed that the label on the pump stated that it was a 24 volt DC pump. Is your electric system 24 volt or 12 volt?

The Sea Doo is hooked up to a 12V single battery. This bilge pump works properly for both 12V and 24V, even though the pump has a marking of 24V on its body. It will work normally on the 12V of your vehicle.

Why doesn't seadoo use an auto bilge pump? I don't like having g it run all the time. Also 100 bucks vs 500 bucks. And the 100 dollar one is better

2 problems with this setup: 1. Looks like it pumps out through the jetpump area. Thus, you wouldn't know it was pumping and that you have a problem. I prefer the pump water outlet be visible. if you see water coming out; you know you have an issue right away and to get to shore asap. 2. Only works if the key is attached. If you were docked somewhere and away from the ski, it won't turn on.
