I have an esc for rated 36v max. I feed it with 30v, but it won’t workz. Any suggestions?

Exactly what I have spent hours looking for. I am not on Facebook. Could you email me drawings, BOM and schematics you used? Great job.

Great build! Looking to do something like this Can I get a full diagram of your build please, relay option sounds good. I probably won’t be installing the brake pedal though.

This is exactly what I needed! Question, on the three wire coming from the esc to the throttle, will you be able to measure 24v just at the connector? I test connected everything on mine, confirmed 24v going in from the battery, but nothing coming out.... Just trying to make sure I don't have a bad esc

Do you have the same ESC as the one I'm using?
@jameszettelmeyer2914 жыл бұрын
K.V. Patel yep, I think I know why and I'll test it when I get home. There's a connector for an on/off switch coming off the esc. Might need to add a jumper there to tell the esc its "on". Assuming that works, any idea if the voltage for the pedal is 5v?? Every thing I've read on testing hall effect pedals shows them tested at 5v. Just curious if the esc drops it down for the pedal? That would explain the smaller gauge wiring for that and other connectors and tell me what to test for as opposed to looking for 24v at that connector.

@@jameszettelmeyer291 yup that's exactly what I was going to tell you. You need to cut the connector of the switch and connect the wires for the ESC to be powered on. In my new builds I connect those wires to an actual ignition type switch. The hall effect pedal is 0-5v. 0 when not pressed, 5v when floored. The ESC takes the signal and coverts it to how many volts leave the battery to the motors.

K.V. Patel jumped the ignition connector and worked perfectly. Thanks so much for the help dude! Subd!

So I'm looking to do just the coast set up. But I want to eliminate the original pedal and put the variable one in instead. What do I have to do with the wires that are hooked up to the original pedal?

I'm looking into upgrading parts on my daughters VW Beetle, I've been reading online and this is the first time someone has mentioned a ESC; what is this and is it upgradable. Please reply

How did you get the pedal to be a variable speed pedal ? I got the exact same pedal and esc buy mine just goes and off it’s not variable Tested only with a voltage meter, havent actually plugged into the motors yet Not sure if that makes a difference
