I ordered this set for my 2014 civic LX sedan. I am purchasing new upper strut mounts. I would like to keep my oe struts in tact. Do new upper strut mounts come with new insulators? Also if I have to order new aftermarket insulators what size will I need?

Yes. They are adjustable between 1-3 inches below stock ride height.

What are the wheel specs for this . I am just wondering if my 18” 8.5 width would rub at all if I only drop it like 1.5” or 2” also just wondering how long the process is to install

What size socket is used to remove the nut located at the bottom of the shock that connects to the hub? I know the internal of the nut is 16mm but having a hard time finding the actual socket size

For mine it’s a 19 and a 21-22 I forgot which one. The 19 goes over the bolt and the 21-22 over the nut.

Correct. They are made to be used with the stock upper strut mounts.

For step #8 do we need to use spring compressors or is there another way of doing it ?

You will need to use spring compressors to safely remove the upper mounts from the stock struts.

When installed the fronts my stock front wheels rubs against the coilover springs? What could be the issue?

Your wheel offset sounds like it isn't high enough to be running at that ride height. You may need to run wheel spacers to space the wheel further from the suspension.

My right rear spring is compressed did I get a bad shock? Or is this normal ?

What about preload for the front and rear?

With that kit, the preload is what determines the ride height so that is up to you.

Because there aren't any lateral forces like front has with the steering, a locking collar isn't necessary for the rear.

why do you have to cut the insulators?

You need to cut them to fit the direction of the spring.

So the insulation will no longer do on the original damper?
