Dont need ratchet strap for rear lower control arm when aligning bolt, just push it over with your foot when jacking up to keep it aligned.

do you have to do a wheel alignment afterwards? do you know the bolt torque specs on the suspension or do you only need to crank it down?
@Poona69a3 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate. Great job there. Very clear & helpful. How far out of alignment/ camber did it end up being front & back? Can ya do a vid on your rock sliders, dimensions etc? They look great.👍
@dizza903 жыл бұрын
It was only out of spec a little bit, but I have no idea what it was before the lift... I got my front toe aligned. The rest of the alignment bolts are seized in. One day I'll cut them out and get a full alignment.... The car drives good even with slight out of spec alignment but I'm sure tyre wear is increased. Pre-alignment values after lift: Rear-left: Toe +3mm, Camber - 0° 04' Rear-right: Toe -5mm, Camber + 0° 56' Front-left: Toe +6.9mm, Camber - 0° 41', Caster + 1° 39' Front-right: Toe +7.3mm, Camber + 0° 11', Caster + 2° 01' I didn't film much of the rock sliders but maybe I should have!

I'm interested to know if you have you found any vibration or CV related issues on the rear since doing the lift? I did a 2" lift on my Pajero and have since had a few vibes at certain speeds. I have new tyres with alignment. I also tried changing to GSP rear CV's but these had a bad knocking so I have reverted back to the original CVs.

@davidroux49007 ай бұрын
I did mine at the front with spacers on top, 2inch lift achieved with no acute angles on CVs. On the rear i found the longer springs tend to pull the wheel forward so it's not sitting centre in the arch which irritated me, so old springs back, I loosened the complete rear subframe and spaced it, excellent outcome wheel in centre and normal wheel travel, CV angle normal, still good after 8 years. With Maxxis mud terrains and back A Line wheels it still look the part, had to change the tyres recently with the same. A lot of road noise, but which i like. 😂😂

Thanks for the video, very nicely done. How have you found the Durashocks? I've got an NT Pajero and I'm going to install a lift kit but debating whether to go for Bilsteins or the Durashock. The Durashock / lovell combo works out about $500 cheaper, most people rave about Bilsteins but I've heard the durashocks aren't too bad either.
@dizza903 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The durashocks seem fine to me so far. I don't plan on doing long drives on corrugations so the smaller bore compared to the bilsteins didn't bother me, especially with the $500 or so difference to the bilsteins!
