Good job. Make sure you tighten all the bolt while the suspension is compressed. We use a jack and then tighten everything up.

This is great, I have watched a few self install lift kit videos for the Pajero, but yours is the best, gives me the confidence to do it myself.

Great vid. I did this job on my NM. You made it look sooo easy! Great explanation, clear, concise and good camera work. Safety boots and safety glasses a must for a Vid in the public domain - shit happens.

Great job good work. The little link bar you disconnected is for the headlights. Depending on the angle of the vehicle the head lights will adjust back to the road for better visibility. Wear some safety boots if you have some, next you work on the car. 🙌

Thank you, now I know what it's for, its cool the sensor adjusts to that. Yeah I do have boots and probably should have worn some shoes, but I very much live in cave man times and hate wearing shoes😅 I'm bare foot as much as I can be. But when it comes to working on my car I probably should. If you ever come across me in public 9 times out of 10 I'm walking shoeless haha

The Dobs are the best looking stuffs. Usually you don't need to undo the upper ball joint unless you plan to replace while in there. For the lower stuff we use a 24v cordless impact. It will make short work of those nuts. Biggest thing about the Pajero lift install is doing the final tightening of the control arms and shocks/struts with tension on them. We use a smaller jack to jack them up some. Otherwise you may get some squeak's or creeks.

Ok thanks for the info! If I ever do another install I keep it in mind.

If you notice and creaking or squeaks then you can narrow it down to that. we learned our lesson after the first lift. We've done about 12 now. LOL. We got the rear lift down to 30-35 min start to finish. Last time we did the front we got new strut top hats and assembled the struts ahead of time so it was just a swap like you instead of having to break the old ones down and rebuild them then install.@@bia4x4

After install you can loosen off any bolts on the control arms that have rubber bushings, then tighten them up again while the car its on its wheels... this will make the bushes last longer, installing similar gear on my pajero this week !@@bia4x4

We do the same as you. Hit the surface rust with the inhibitor. Always a great idea. Also if you wheel it, no matter how good you clean it, dirt is always hiding. 😂

Perhaps, in a future vid, you could report back how you are finding the handling with the new suspension. Road, dry conditions, wet, offroad, etc. And whether you are happy with your choice. Thanks :)

It's always great to try and have a go, don't get me wrong I'm definitely not the fastest at the installs but it's fun to get the experience. But that's why I film the videos so other beginners can try it for them selfs (it also saves u a lot of money in the long run aswell). The coil seats I can't remember 100% but I'm pretty sure there were some on the top as well but they were in good condition I just remember I didn't replace them, sorry I've just got a shoking memory 😬

You don't have to unclip the front brake line to make it easier.. you can undo that bolt on the chassis rail that retains the ABS wheel speed sensor and get a lot more movement in the upper control arm !

A trick to getting the rear control arm to align with the knuckle is to use a ratchet strap with one end secured to something solid toward the front of the car and then slowly ratchet the control arm forward and into place, saw it in another KZbin vid and really helped me with mine, just revisiting some vids now as swapping from a lovells linear spring to a Kings progressive rate in the back. Have found the lovells too stiff and been putting up with it for 5 years. How are you finding your setup? Living up to your expectations? I have to say you’ve got some quality gear there.

Awome tip! Thank you that definitely would have made life a little easier and I'll do next time. So far I'm super happy with the dobinsons so much smoother and better then my last letup. I've been out a few times 4wd over the last few months and I'm happy with how they've held up. I did a little update video on my Chanel about 2 weeks ago. But so far very happy with everything. And even happier that I was able to install the lift myself and nothing's gone wrong with it the last few months so I'll call it a win

great video as usual. Can i ask the part numbers of the fronts and rears also what weight are they rated at and cost please. im looking at changing my current bilstein/lovells 2" lift as i have drawers and battery in the rear the same as yours and they sit a bit low in the rear because of the extra weight.

Hey feel free to message me on facebook or instagram and I can send you screen shots/ links to the items as for some reason it's being difficult right now and not allowing me to. The rear springs are rated 250kg.

Good video on the install. Just watch your wheel alignment. Without aftermarket upper arms it may ruin the outside of the tyres on the front. Mine didnt last long before it started to happen. Also, watch your CV angles. Most IFS 4wds need a diff drop to help the CV angle so you are not stuff boots & the CV's. I learnt the hard way. Also, don't tighten suspension bolts while it's in the air. Do up hand tight then tighten once it's on the ground. Will set the bushes in the wrong spot and will cause them to wear out quicker as they are loaded without weight not loaded with weight like they need to be done. Besides that, keen to see how it goes over time🤙

Ok, thank you for the help. I'll research a bit more, but I did tighten everything again at ground level. I made sure of that

@bia4x4 I'm no engineer but just going by my past mistakes. Ended up costing me double what it should and ended up removing the lift as it was useless and a waste of money in the end. As long as you don't torque it all unloaded, you'll be fine👍
