Looks good. Have built lots of new houses. Yes shim off the countertop....but.... please use silicone grout caulk. Not the latex stuff. Don't grout the bottom joint to counter. A fine bead pushed pushed into the counter joint will last for years! Good job

The client shouldn't have to make a list of things for you to touch up, he/she is paying you to do the job so do it right, you should be looking at everything yourself, treat this like this is your house! Unless you are saying that the customer is having you touch up things, that you did not work on already.

I am very thorough on everything I do and my clients definitely get their moneys worth! The list I speak is very, very small. I’m talking about things that may go unnoticed like a scuff on a wall, drop of paint on the baseboard, maybe the hot water needs to be adjusted in the shower, an outlet needs a cover by the closet…just Small nitpicky stuff that your not going to really notice until your in there really looking
