How to Install a Bathroom Folding Door

My elderly mother has come to live with me,due to Covid ,the bathroom is so small the door grazes the toilet as it closes and she has mobility problems I needed a solution , I was going to try and change hinges so the door closes and opens from the outside, but I think this may work better 🙏

It's not very private as sound travels straight through...rather fit a wood folding 6 panel door.

what if you dont have a door frame as its a new door and the size is not standard can you install on raw wall and does it lock
