How to Install a Bedroom/Bathroom Privacy Door Lock

This was great! I had locked myself out and fiddling with putting something in that little hole didn't work, so I had unscrewed the thing. Then I was stuck and needed to understand how to unlock it after the other handle fell inside. In the end I went with the back of a fork 😊

Thank you. I was having so much trouble with the actual screws on the knob. The knob was in the way and I couldn’t get the screwdriver or drill in the right spot to turn the screws. Watching this video made a lightbulb go off and I was like, duh. I felt so dumb. 🤣

This was super helpful because my door wouldn't latch. Turns out the thing that goes in and out when you turn the handle was facing the wrong way. Thank you for clarifying that in the very beginning.

Thanks, I was just confused about the screws being on the outside with this doorknob. I don't understand why it looks funny being on the outside, but I figured it's in case someone gets locked in and doesn't have the safety key.

I replaced the doorknob correctly butbit isn't locking in place when I close the door and when it's locked the door still pulls open.

Is there anyway to change the direction in which to lock the door? I noticed you have to turn it to the right it is it possible to change to lock towards the inside of the food lock?
