Thank you very much .. I moved out of my own Apt in Dec and have just started renting rooms . I've found it's a great idea to install one of these . Not because of my roommate but I don't know their friends that come and go.. I'd like to ve able to bring some of my more personal stuff over from my storage and feel comfortable about it when Ieave.. I did dicuss this with my roommate as I didn't want her to think I didn't trust her . She was 100 percent fine with it and understood . Thank's for the guide . I you tube everything... have a wonderful evening 😊

yes is always a good idea to turn your regular interior door handle into an actual keyed one in rooms. it keeps things a little private when needed such as a party is happening or guest are visiting etc. and regular hours leave unlock but be able to lock. glad you enjoyed the video so you better subscribe for future do it yourself lol

I am looking for a video of how to install Schlage locks deadbolts on bedroom doors to rent my house by the room.
@MasterMindHandyMan Жыл бұрын
steps are similar. only thing that changes is the product. follow my steps and instead use your Schlage lock

I’m not sure what I did wrong, I installed my doorknob and it works the key turns the knob but the lock won’t move, it won’t lock or unlock. Any suggestions?
@MasterMindHandyMan Жыл бұрын
only problem could be that you tighten the screws for both outside pieces too hard not allowing it to move inside. the other could ne the hook connection inside was wrong and now that is closed you are noticing it. so please start with recommendation 1 and if that does not work open it and start over.

Quick question after I slide the door knob in the latch that goes into the wall moves in so it’s not catching . Do I just need another 1?
@MasterMindHandyMan6 ай бұрын
not really. most of the time you just need to adjust it to catch.
