I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that can get dirty while working on the clean parts of a car. Nice job in less than ideal working location (though it did look like nice weather).

Trailer buddy bearing caps work great to cover the receivers, at least the roadmaster ones. The Blue Ox look to be the same size.

Looks great but does she run? I really thought you'd bail on this Jeep and find a vehicle not afraid to be reliable transportation
@fuelyourwander9 ай бұрын
She’s currently still at the dealership awaiting repairs for the 2nd time. We filmed this prior to our first breakdown and considered not posting it, but we wanted to share in case anyone wants to see how we were able to do the baseplate install with this vehicle. Saved us $5,000 doing it ourselves 🙌

Easy enough to pull the tires off. Specially at your home, you should have tools to pull your tires off.
@fuelyourwander7 ай бұрын
Sure, but I didn’t have two jack stands. So it was easier not to pull them.

So much to do. Could your average person to it? And the more dangerous question: the Jeep can be towed but can she drive? I sure hope all the bugs have been worked out!
@fuelyourwander9 ай бұрын
I’d say it’s not for a beginner. You have to be comfortable with DIY and I would recommend some experience with car repairs/maintenance. 😀

I'm a bit confused, sorry! Didn't all those problems in Arizona happen after this installation? Then you left it there for repairs and had it shipped on to you weeks later? Please tell me this isn't another, new, replacement jeep for that bad boy untowable POS that should have been blow to bits! If this is another, replacement Jeep and you caved in and stayed with Jeep, Heaven Help you guys!
@fuelyourwander9 ай бұрын
Yes, this was filmed before it broke down the first time in Arizona 😂 We decided to still post it in case anyone wants help with the install. Our Jeep is currently still at the dealership in FL awaiting repairs for the second time… Hopefully we’ll get it back soon 🤞 We did not get another one 😂
