There is a spade prong on the fuse box right next to the hole you are gonna run it through that goes on and off with the key. No need to run it to the power outlet.

Some cams (mine old one) had a G sensor and would automatically turn on and record if someone hit your parked car. If it turns off when you remove the key, this won't work.

@3:30 You crossed over the AIRBAG making it not work properly. Run the wire down the A piller to your fuse box.
