I haven't tried to do that yet. But you could remove the screens that are in the base of the shower head where the hose is connected. That will improve pressure but will also allow more mineral deposits to form in the shower head.

Thank you for your video. We had plumber install the shower and he took all the instructions. He didn't tell us how to work the showerhead. I kept turning the little knob in the front and didn't realize there was one on the side.

I've only had it for like a month and just today when I went to use it, only the outer part of the shower head was working and the middle was not no matter what I did. do you know if there is anything I can do?

If there's a rubber gasket in the shower head attachment to the shower arm why do you need Teflon tape there?

Is it okay if the threading is too long on the shower arm? The shower head can't go any further than it already is, so there's some threading sticking from the arm

Just a note to make sure you are really ready to install the In2ition Shower head and hand shower. DELTA NO LONGER SHIPS THEIR SHOWER HEADS WITH TEFLON PLUMBERS TAPE !!! You don’t find this out until you open the box, look at the instructions and see the directions on 1.c. Where it shays to install the tape (not included). So you will need to have tape on hand or purchase it separately. Frankly, when you purchase a shower head costing $79.00, Delta SHOULD include the tape. The amount you use can’t amount to more than 5¢, so, SHAME ON DELTA! Also, newer In2ition shower head control valve has been changed to vertical - main showerhead, 45 degrees - both shower heads, horizontal - handheld shower head.

@Glen Kelly @LovingAtlanta I picked up a used one at garage sale, removed the low flow screen thingy, hooked her up and the selector doesn't fully shut off the shower head, so water's coming out of both. I'll fiddle with it & check that ball closure or whatever is in there and see if that does the trick. I really want to fully close off the shower head, as where I'm living, has dumb asses who dont know how to fix the mix so the water is WFO hot! 🥵 Skin-meltingly hot. Therefore, I only take baths & chuck bucket after bucket of cold tap water into the tub.....sheesh

@@HisDearMissK ... I generally do not buy things like this used or at garage sales. I just make the default determination that if it is there being sold, there is something wrong with it and the knuckleheads selling it are out to rip people off. I bought mine at Lowe's when it was on sale. and really have not had any issues with the shower head / shower handle selector ... it one or the other or both as it should be. The shower handle selector all works fine as well as the water saving pushbutton that lets you temporarily shut off the water flow to the handle. I have never torn one of these apart. I figure my time is worth more and better spent doing other things that need to be done. With respect to the hot water temperature there seems to be two issues, really. I do not know the living situation; but, I am guessing you are living in an apartment that may have a shared water heater system which is not typical. If you do have your own water heater, you should turn the thermostat(s) down. Sometimes there are two and if it is electric, there is a panel that has to be opened to get to it. The second issue is that in most places by building code, shower faucet controls are supposed to have a thermal anti-scalding device built in the faucet that limits the mix temperature of cold and hot water so that it does not result in personal injury. It sounds like you may not have that or it is not working correctly either. Sorry I cannot suggest anything for your situation given the lack of information. If you can afford it, I would just buy a new shower hear and handle that you can depend on working like I do. Personally, I hate working on plumbing almost as much as working on cars.

Would've been great if you showed what kind of shower knobs you have. When I turn the water on it goes straight to the bathtub pipe. I can't figure out how to redirect the water to the shower head 😩

Not yet John Ho but it's not too hard. You need to remove the showerhead from the shower arm. Then use needle nose pliers or a paperclip to fish out the restrictor from the showerhead. Let me know if you run into any trouble.

I just got this from a wholesaler. looks like it was played with a bit before hand. That screen you mention, which way is it suppose to face? Should the dome that the screen forms face upwards towards the water connection, or downwards towards the shower head? It has been moved so I'm not sure which way to put it back in. Thanks.

I actually can't remember John - you could take the shower head off the shower arm, and test the position of the screen to see which way it gives you the best water flow. Or you could just do away with it altogether if you don't have hard water that would clog the shower head.

The teflon tape should be put on in the opposite direction, it should always go in the direction of the fitting you're applying

+Line Ferris water temperature is a function of the mixing valve, so that's where you'd have to tackle that issue

Your water pressure is lousy - perhaps you could remove the main shower head, separate (unscrew) the swivel adapter from the main shower head and push the green water flow restrictor out of the swivel adapter.... That may help.

Thanks Bill Transue - the pressure is actually not bad. I think the video probably makes it look worse than it is. The water comes out at about 80 PSI :D

Bill Transue I removed this little green piece and it nearly doubled the pressure. Had to remove the ball-joint type swivel and push it out with a small tool - popped right out.

Danarkee I just removed the green piece and it also doubled the pressure...until I installed the rest of the unit. There must be something else in the diverter piece slowing the pressure down significantly.

You need a wrench or a plier that has space in between to grip a circular object.

The shower head that i have that was on before the delta you can't get now... It is a old moen shower head made of mostly metal, I would say it is from the 90's or early 2000's. I cleaned it the other day so it looks new. But the white part is kind off yellow ish now
