Bless your heart!!! We put our septic tank system down right here in Trapper Creek Alaska with 2/ 250 gallon tanks that were used for oil they fry chicken in at Kentucky Fried chicken. They sell these tanks all over here in Alaska and they use them for tons of things here. Most people see them in the back of pick up trucks to hold water. These tanks are square and they have aluminium bars around them. Well we dug out enough dirt to be able to bury 2 of these tanks and a leach pipe about 10 feet long. We attached the 2 tanks together with a pipe between them so the first tank can flow into the 2nd tank through the top on the sides of the tanks. The pipe that's going from one tank to the next tank is glued so it won't move. Those tanks are called, solid tank and liquid tank. Then in order to make sure the tanks can not ever float, we wire hangered these heavy duty bed springs we got from an old military base and they were the bed springs they used for the military beds. I originally used them for fencing for my goats. They are sturdy and very heavy. We wired 2 on top and 6 all around the 2 tanks. Then from the top of the liquid tank, we put the leech pipe out the side on top, then down to the ground and ten feet out slightly at a down hill. I had the duty of filling the leech pipe hole full of bigger rocks so to be a drain into the ground after the waist water flows through the leech pipe.Then we wrapped that leech pipe with membrane so the silt can't clog that pipe up. We buried the whole thing and I haven't had to use the out house hole since, and it's lasted for 4 years now. And if ever I have to have it pumped out, I can because of course we made sure we put pump out pipes going up through the tops of the tanks. This project only cost me $1,200. Both tanks were only $100. The thing that cost me the most was paying the guy to dig the trench for the tanks and end leech pipe, then to burying it all up.

Sounds like a good setup for sure. They sell those tanks here too. I always planned on going over to Trapper Creek just because i liked the name but never made it. I spent a lot of time in the Homer / Seldovia area but plan to return sometime in the near future.

A crazy week, Boss. My town was largely without electricity over Christmas so we loaned a back up generator to a friend, some camper stoves and one friend even came for a bath because their electricity froze. My life didn't change except for helping. Then was going to settle in for New Year just drinking coffee and reading a book when I got a call from a friend to come get a doe he took down so I have been busy. If it is indication of my 2023 I will be well fed and also doing the things to take care of business. I ordered a few new seeds and cleaned out my seed box which is a basket with lots of pencil pouches I put the packages in. God bless you and Lori and Tildy for the 2023. We lost 3 pets last year like your Frankie. I saw a book Angela's Ashes at the thrift store and remembered how he got his name. I read it and Tis. Loads of love from juanita mae and jim

Installed the system from the previous video a few years ago. Put in 2 feet deep. Works great, no problems even in the dead of winter. My cabin is at 6500 ft and gets 5-10 feet of snow.

Great system and pretty similar to what I've drawn up for my septic system. And the washing machine gray water system too. I like bubble foil too. Used it in my country home for the in floor heat "reflector", in the trenches from the outdoor Woodstock to the livestock tank to keep it 45°F - 55°F perfect animal drinking temperature. I wrapped and taped it around the pex tubing before slipping it inside the black corrugated black plastic piping in a bed of sand to and spray foamed box with styrene panel on the under side of the box as a cover. Cutting the shape of elongated toilet seats (just 2) for the animals to drink out of all year around. I made a flow baffle and could turn on 1, 2 or 3 heat rings made of pex tubing coming off the inlet valve and returning to the outlet valve for heat circulation.. It works great in-30°F (approximately -48°C) weather with gusts up to 60 m.p.h. (approximately 97 Km per hour) here in Michigan. My water was never frozen.

Thank goodness for my bubble foil wrapped chimney ! Smooth ride to the living-room . No soot build up ,and the reflective foil picks up The holiday lights and the whole room is filled with sparkles ...🎄 Now off to bake our turkey on bubble wrap pan ! Wrapped tight ,it really seals in the juices . Resting the bones and in a few hours We will serve our bubble wrap turkey ,bubble wrap cookies and cakes Bubble wrap is the gift that just keeps on giving !
