Can the channel drain be flat as long that the drain pipe slopes down? I have 30 ft of existing concrete that i need to cut into for my channel drain but slope not so great

If I understand what you're saying, I believe so. Just remember - water always runs downhill!

Water also finds the path of least resistance, so a level pipe/trench/channel WILL actually drain so long as the outlet allows water to escape the system as fast or faster than it's being filled. Such experiments have been demonstrated on other videos.
