I searched u tube to see how i can install a fence on a wall.The part i wanted to know is how to install the uprights on a 9 inch wall which is not shown on this video.whats the point of it.Its not difficult screwing feather edged fence boards to upright posts already installed?

Looking to do something like this but my walls have semi large square fancy bricks halfway up and a concrete topping curved/pointy shaped thing running along the top so it isn't flat like the top of that brick wall. Struggling to figure out how to do it. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi Johnny. Can't believe found your videos again to try do a job. For 90 cm of featheredge, what would you say would be a good amount of anchor on the wall. I have a little over a meter would that be enough or would it need more? Also did you screw the bottom 3x2 to the wall as well as the verticle drops. And finally aswell as the drop down the wall have you put a verticle piece on the other side aswell?

You’ve fitted the vertical structure how ? Is it a full length down other side of wall and fixed or have you screwed it and anchored some other way, I just can see how you’ve fixed your vertical framework to the brick ?

What happenswhen you get to a upright post to keep the feather edge looking flat ?

From the video it looks like the horizontal battens are screwed in behind the uprights, So when you start feather edging along the horizontals, once you get to the uprights the feather edge would pretude. I really like the idea. Thought if the horizontals where attached to the front Of the uprights then the feather edge would not pretude. Hope this makes sense. Great video by the way
