Will this not make my truck start. Just put new fuel pump and filter. Still won't start cranks but don't pump works gas in the line has in fliter removed pumped and gas came out of the lines just to make sure and now still won't start
@MIC-LS2 жыл бұрын
Things to look for, fuel pump relay,, crank position sensor, fuel regulator, a bad wire ( connection) to fuel pump/positive wire or ground wire and or a bad signal from CPU all can be tested with a 12 volt test light except fuel regulator. Also clogged fuel injectors will not allow fuel to pass thru, injectors can be tested with a 9 volt battery, when testing injectors listen for clicking sound when powering up. Just a few pointers.

Does the little o-ring go back in?
@MIC-LS4 жыл бұрын
Yes, the new little o-ring goes in. I did not pay attention and was trying to shove 2 small o-rings in. It only requires 1 small and 1 big o-ring.
@Mahkwa3 жыл бұрын
Just FYI friend, you may have a fuel pump that is going to go out in the near future. If you get 50PSI, that is enough to keep the engine running, but will have difficulties in starting. With the key on, it should be around 56-62PSI for normal start. Just as a precaution, replace the fuel filter too and re-check since the fuel filter is cheap. Otherwise, you know your fuel pump is going to shit the bed on you.
@MIC-LS3 жыл бұрын
I already installed a walbro 250 liters per minute and have a video on my channel installing it. That's why I knew the regulator needed replacement. Fuel filter was changed K&N after the pump. The sonoma runs great now.
@Mahkwa3 жыл бұрын
@@MIC-LS Understood. Just leaving a comment that hopefully those searching for help know what to look for, and a friendly reminder on the pump as its a common enough problem that causes prolonged starts, constant fast turnover when the engine is hot and started again, etc. thanks for the video

below 50 psi pressure indicates a weak fuel pump

@Ivan Moreno correct fuel pump psi spec is higher than 50 and what you say; not measured by return pressure, are you a special needs person? Does it make you feel better to make derogatory remarks? Get some help.
