I Bought the Haloview RD7 to replace a camera system from Furrion Vision S that had significant drop out issues. Installation was not a problem - powering the camera off the top rear marker light. Swapped out the old mounting brackets for the new ones and ran the transmission cable up to the front of my 26 foot long camper. Mounted the transmitter with liberal amounts of RTV/Silicon. Got the monitor hooked up in the cab, powered it up and turned on the marker lights. The camera and monitor paired automatically and provided me a terrific view of my back yard - as expected. Finally got to road test it this past weekend on a short camping trip - about 50 miles one way. Camera performed flawlessly the whole way - didn't notice a single drop out and had very little, if any flicker. Decent field of view as well. I can see cars within about 20 feet of my rear bumper and can pick up the entire lane of expressway on either side at about 40 feet back. I am VERY satisfied with the performance of this system so far. Big test will be next month with a 1000 mile trip coming up. Looking forward to it.

What’s that got to do with the Furrion install?

show me how to install the camera on a trailer that is not prewired. (please)

Yeah, mine was supposed to be install ready, or whatever they call it, but the wires aren't connected to anything. The plug just fell out, the wires cut and I can tell it was never connected to anything.

Awesome. Thanks for the video. Gonna install ours tomorrow after searching for a good, short video! 👍🏼

So where does that camera get its power from? The tow vehicle or the RV battery? I'd hate to have it draining the RV battery while camping. Thanks

I noticed you took the camera out of the shark fin bracket and placed it in the manufacturer bracket. Is there a reason for this? Should you use furrions bracket, trailers existing bracket, or does it matter?

i purchased a 2021 Durango D301 RLT and it came prepped with the Tire Linc system but did not come with the repeater or the alert indicator. If trailer is prepped with this system would it typically come with everything needed to set up or do i need to purchase separately? thanks for your feed back. Paul

This doesn't show you splice in the wires from the rv or where the wires are coming from.. is it from the rear clearance light?

how do you pair the cameras on the side

My Furrion bracket should of been pre wired, but I think someone at the factory was not paying attention to details. So now what?

Maybe you can tell the guys in the shop to not put copious amounts of silicone on the side marker light preps so you can actually take the blanks off and install the camera as they should be.

Don't think I'd ever put the monitor in my direct sight window. Illegal in some states. Absolutely not safe in all.

It's too bad that an RV manufacturer will post videos like this, yet not bother to answer questions. We'll be buying a KZ next month and I sure hope the customer service isn't like this!
