I saw your answer on another forum and you had the old non heated steering wheel for sale. No access that I could tell. If you are replacing a fleet vehicle will the (Idatalink/Maestro) aftermarket radio work or do I need GM to reprogram the brain. Is there a location on here to see any of your for sale items? Also is the wiring for the radio control buttons already underneath the dash or already in the steering wheel?

First, great video and I am now a subscriber. Your other videos on these trucks will break the bank for me! Second, I was a little bummed to peak up by the tilt lever on my '15 Z71 and not see the spare wire hanging there. Mine was very early production. I haven't checked the fuse yet (I think the box might be located elsewhere on mine?). When I do, can you please clarify what I am looking for? I might be missing something, but it seems like the one you show in the schematic differs from the one circled in the actual photo. I admit I have next to zero knowledge on that type of thing though, so my apologies if my question shows my ignorance. Thanks again!
@fondupot4 жыл бұрын
Glad to have you on the channel. Your 15 will more than likely not be prewired. But you could add the heated wheel and new coil. Then just add a wire with an add-a-fuse back to the fuse box. Your fuse box should be in the same spot. It’s in the passenger side footwell. It will be covered with a panel that you need to remove.

How hard is it to alight the new wheel on the splines? On my GTO it's easy to have it be slightly off center. Does the heated steering wheel come on with remote start?
@fondupot4 жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure there was only one exact way I could realign the splines in the wheel. There’s like a flat spot that has to line up. So it’s dead center back where the original one was. I haven’t tested the remote start turn on yet. I assume it should since my heated seats come on with remote start. But I am not 100% on the whee yet.

Is it possible to put the Canyon steering wheel in the Colorado? I REALLY don't like the look of the Colorado's but love the Canyon's. Also is it possible to put the Colorado airbag cover on the Canyon steering wheel?
@fondupot3 жыл бұрын
If you put the canyon steering wheel in the Colorado. You’ll need a canyon airbag. They don’t match up. The shapes are slightly different. But it’s been done before. As long as you get the right connectors and part numbers they are interchangeable between Colorado and canyon.
@natewallinger92703 жыл бұрын
@@fondupot ok thanks, what do you believe would be the easiest way to go about this? Will I need a GMC clockspring as well or will the GMC wheel fit on the Chevy one and have all the connectors work?

@@fondupot Also when you're talking about airbags do you mean airbag covers or the airbags themselves?
@fondupot3 жыл бұрын
The GMC clockspring and Chevy are the same part #. So you just need the one with the extra wiring for the heat. I’m not sure if you can remove the covers from the airbags. That’s risky because if you damage it, it might explode in your face.

@@nolocbx1 It's post # 273, by user jso902. Also read post # 235 by Coletrain84. Should get you pointed in the right direction. Basically, you will swap out the wheel and the coil pack.
