You are an artist sir, I do the same my self and I’ll like to give you an advice, I was 310 pounds and my knees we’re killing me every time I get up and down my back will hurt after every day of work and things were unnecessary hard for me . I lost 100 pounds and I feel 20yo and I’m 45 , my knees don’t hurt my back is fine and my bp is controlled I don’t get dizzy every time I get up . I can make much more money now that I feel lighter and younger. Try it you’ll thank your self

Just some tips I’ve been learning myself. With Ditra, they suggest troweling it on with the flat edge in perpendicular directions first then comb additional Thinset with the tooth side.
@friendlyneighborhoodtileguy2 жыл бұрын
It’s important to have the waffles filled and the notches combed in a straight line. Checking your coverage to be sure it’s at least to minimum standards (preferably better than minimum) and you’ll be fine.

Great video. May I ask why the painters Tape on the tile being run thru the wet saw - was it so you could see the pencil mark… or was it to prevent edge chipping?
@friendlyneighborhoodtileguy2 жыл бұрын
It was only to make the line show up on camera. I could see the line without the tape but the camera couldn’t. I should have mentioned that to clear it up. Great question, thanks for asking.

Hi, great video. I have a tile project at home around 50' square. with hex slate tile. What type of thin set and grout do you recommend for slate stone. Thank you
@friendlyneighborhoodtileguy Жыл бұрын
For natural stone I would find out what the manufacturer recommends and use that.

Which spacer are best for exacly same hexagon as on vid, 1/16” or 1/8” ?
@friendlyneighborhoodtileguy Жыл бұрын
I prefer 1/8” spacers, they give a little more room for adjustment.

Why did you taped over the cutting area when you cut the tile with the wet saw?
@friendlyneighborhoodtileguy Жыл бұрын
I only used the tape to make it easier to see in the video

Is a leveling system necessary for hexagon tiles ???
@friendlyneighborhoodtileguy11 ай бұрын
We don’t use leveling systems for tiles less than 15” on an edge.

Everytime you cut a tile, I thought you were about to cut your fingers. That's scary to watch
