That was so helpful, especially on the wiring part for someone who is not an electrician. I made several several trips to Lowe's and Home Depot and couldn't get any help until I ran into your video. Thank you very much.

The wires go in from the side, not rom the front. Check your manual. It shows clearly the wires bring inserted form the side of the bracket cavity.

Great video! Definately a used unit if the mounting bracket was already snapped in and the srcews were loose. Mine came with the mounting bracket in its own little plastic bag and the screws with plastic inserts in another plastic bag. :) This was very helpful!

Great video. Thank you. I have just 2 wires old house replacing an old mercury thermostat. Question is where would I place the two wires as color is not optional for me? Thank you.

To make it easy for yourself, buy the thermostat just like you currently have.I would try to help you, but without a diagram, it is very difficult

Hi, thank you for this video it really helped! Any idea why the time shown above “following schedule” would keep going up?
@LarrySbrusch Жыл бұрын
Not sure I understand your question, it should follow whatever you put in on a schedule

@@LarrySbrusch Hi I think when I was programming the temperatures I may have set them a little to high which is probably resulting in the time shown above where it says “following schedule” to keep going up. I guess the thermostat is estimating how long it will take the temperature to get to the number I programmed it for. Sorry for the confusion

My big question is, how do I remove the face plate to change the batteries? I tried for 10 minutes but could not find the way to remove it. The user manual says to move it to the right then down but that did not work. Please help.

My current system is labeled as “RH” with a jumper to “RC”. Does my RH connects to “R” on HoneyWell thermostat? How about the jumper to RC?

I didn't want a digital therm. But couldn't find a two stage heat therm. Didn't want batteries in either. But honeywell tech says i can bypass this ??? I only have 3 wires coming from my two stage propane tube radiant heater. Any help ? I know i need w1 and w2 to run it two stage. What about the 24v wire for power?

Do we need to put AA batteries into this?
@TNCelt113 күн бұрын
Yes. If you look at the back of the unit, you will see the area that shows it calling for AA batteries.

Followed all these instructions in this video and the manual. Still no heat turning on. Our old thermostat was working and the heat turns on but the heat wasn’t increasing to the set temperature.

Depends what kind and type of thermostat you have. Some automatically sense heat and ac , and then I have seen a few in mobile home that do not control the heat at all. It all depends which one you have. Mine is on the bottom of it

No, no! The wires enter from the side, If you try and put them in from the front, they will not stay in place and it will be very difficulr to close the mounting bracket door. I made the same mistake until I read the instructions more carefully.

I just want a bloody thermostat that all it requires is turn on and off and set the degrees for cool or hot. They have made it so difficult. I'm a tenant and no, I don't give a flip what my landlord like the temperature to be. I pay for the electric bill so let me set it up. )*E^T%$(&%w
