It’s both. The tikka t3x bolt stop is also the bolt release.

Watch our video on the Tikka Cerakote issue. They admitted to not mixing the Cerakote to spec which means it’s thick on the rifle. A gunsmith has to fix the rifle before the bolt stop will work.
