Hey Folks, in this video I show you how to fix your Ford Mustang Convertible top if it won't come down or close. Most of the time this fix will be you need more fluid in your motors reserve. If you have already tried that then you want to check your Fuse Relay these are located in the front fuse box left of your engine, if your problem is not the relays then you might need to swap out your convertible top motor this video shows you how to do that.

Thanks a los bro for this video. It helped me a lot!! It works after a full fill with the oil, there is just something unexpected that happened. When I start my mustang, it starts normally but then the REVs get down to cero and the engine just stop. I need to rev with the pedal and pass the transmission to D and start driving, then there is no problems at all. So the problem is just to start the Mustang. Before the roof wasn’t working everything run just fine but I don’t know if the convertible roof has something related with my RELAI. Thanks!

What a wonderful video Chris! I have the exact same Mustang GT as you, and your video really helped me a LOT! The problem is not the relay or hydraulic fluid. It seems to be the motor. But I can't find a motor for a 2006 GT on Amazon or eBay. :-(

I have an '06. I went with a new motor I got from ebay. It was expensive but came with a 5 year warranty. I'd rather buy a new one than put in a used one almost as old as the one that failed. It will probably fail too sooner than later. You do have to cut the power plug from the old motor and solder it onto the new motor wires but that isn't an issue for me.

Yes they are the same. Just find a shop that rebuilds alternators, etc. they can rebuild your motor. My original lasted 7 years, and my rebuilt lasted the same.
