There is a really nice passenger backrest from Mustang. It’s wider than stock. Looks great on the bike. I’ve had my 900 Classic LT since 2006. Bought it off the showroom floor….still like new with 6000 miles. Nice video. I also have a mint 2005 Vulcan 750. I like the Kawasaki cruisers a lot.

just put Pirelli tires on my vn900 classic after the third set of metzers (spell?) it said they were for a 900 lb bike so I figured they would be great on a 600 lb (there abouts ) bike ! I put the 200 on the back ,but I also put front and feaf pulleys (as she was geared way to low stock ) 50,000 mile and nothing has broken except what a deer or two and I broke !

You removed the front rim off that bike the wrong way that's why you had difficulty and had to remove the rotor. Most people find it mind boggling as to how to get that rim off. The easiest way is to remove the caliper. If you spray some rust buster on the back of the bolt that's attached to the forks it will break up some of oxidation from the aluminum and the steel bolt that's where they seize and you can put a little rust buster on the front of the boat and let that set up for about 5-10 minutes and those things come right out the problem is is a fuse to the aluminum so always put some seizing cream on the boat before installing again and they get torque to 20 lb

Could you send me a tutorial for your method?

@@1968scottyd hey Scott, Will's Restorations here, remove the four bolts holding fender on and remove the fender, remove the nut and the large bolt and slide it out of the rim, sometimes the caliper bolts are extremely hard to remove because Kawasaki geniuses threaded steel into aluminum which usually causes a fusing process and they kind of cease together, spray some rust buster on them and let them sit for about 10 minutes, come back and make sure you use the proper millimeter socket, shallow socket preferred, no deep sockets, you will now be able to push your rim toward the motor slightly and lift the caliper right off that is the most easiest way to do it without scratching anything. @@willsrestorationsWhat a noncence, the wheel rolls out like nothing. Just lift the front a bit after you took out the axel.

Thank you for the video! I noticed your new tires are tubeless, but stock tires are tube type with the spoked rims on the 900 classic. Did you have the shop do some sort of "conversion" of your rims to support tubeless tires?
@DJsWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
no they actually did use tubes in them

in a next opportunity, try using tires with white stripe, it will make your bike even more charming. 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷Rogerio Dias. 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

If you still have the 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 900b with the Pirelli Route 66 front and rear tires then you're still riding. Those tires will outlive the bike by a long shot!! You'll get a little more power out of her by changing your air intake and adding a fuel commander and maybe change your pipes out as well.

Yes I still have it. Very enjoyable bike to ride. I dont need any added power its fine the way it is. My sport bike days are over I just enjoy the ride now. 😊

nice! Hey, what paint did you select for the frame? I’ve tried a couple readily available blacks and non match. By the way, I was also looking at those tires. Good tread pattern! good video and I appreciate you being thorough.

I used Rustoleum custom matte black laquer 332289. Auto zone carries it. They also have a good silver that matches the triple tree.

Hi there, I was wondering how the bike was for power? I am thinking of buying the same bike, but I believe the HP is under 60, and that is pretty low considering I am use to sport bikes and I know the power is certainly not the same but I was wondering what your opinion is on that?
@DJsWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
Its not quick like a sport bike. Its a cruiser. But it definatly has enough power and is a pleasure to ride.

@@DJsWorkshop thanks so much for the reply. My speed days are behind me now at 57, but I don't want to be left in everyone's dust either ha ha, just want to get back to enjoying riding. The bike I am looking at has floor boards like yours and I have never been on a bike that had them or the heel toe shifter, will that be hard to adjust to in your opinion?
@DJsWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
I hear ya. I am 57 as well and am done with sport bikes. I have nothing to prove i just enjoy riding these days. The floor boards are nice. Highway pegs are very nice as well to stretch out. I don't use the heel shift much. I can shift quicker and smoother with the type shift.

I have the same bike in the video. It has no problem cruising at 70. Being fuel injected helps the throttle response for getting up to cruising speed.
