Turned out great! For cutting the tops. I use a laser like you did to set the bottom marks, but then I just do the math for 1/4" per foot for the slope. Here is AZ we are mostly one man crews. We have a few ways to set the beam alone. I build my post plates on single headers and use them as a saddle for the beam. On double headers. I use a gutter stand, or build my post plates and set the beams on those and use a bar clamp to hold it while I screw it. On the lights and fan beams, we cap the top so they don't fill with water when it rains. The supplier calls them a 8" carport fascia and then are a U shape that covers everything like a hat. It turned out really nice! I'm sure the customer is thrilled.

Hi, great job. Just a little thing would be good for the electricity installation safety. I would put a rubber rings on the steel sharp edges where the cables are going out through the steel pillars or to the rooftop lights and fans. 👍

They wrapped with more electrical tape and it isn't really proper. You can see in the last minute of video the lights are cutting on and off probably due to a bad connection or short.

It may not be proper but the LEDs look like the are flickering on and off. Most likely they are not. They may look like that if the frequency of the camera frame rate and the lights are not the same.

David, Typically patio installers use industrial metal tripods to hold up the beams. They have telescoping bars with threaded rods in the middle to easily adjust the height. With two tripods, it can be a one-man job but more makes the job go faster
