I can't believe that this has 30 dislikes, this man is a true professional and knows what he is doing and is not afraid to get his hands dirty. I agree with the previous person that a double bowl sink would be better for the kitchen, but then again she might be one of those "proper" women that do not wash dishes but do them in a dishwasher where a double bowl sink is not needed.

Anyone who takes the time to do a how to video should never get a thumbs down. These people do this out of kindness and for people like me I am extremely grateful. I have saved lots of money doing things myself because of people like this. What are the two methods that can be used to connect copper pipes and shut off valves to make a watertight seal?

You got 3 methods actually: you can sweat fittings with a torch; you can use compression fittings like in this video; or you can simply snap on a Sharkbite fitting.

Would have installed a restaurant type grab faucet. The retractable faucet hose will spring a leak over time.

Yes. Eventually any pull down faucet will develop a leak. There's a lot of repetitive motion happening.

One hour of labor call, figure 150 or so, plus cost of parts. Faucet probably about 100, so looking at 250 job.

Cut the supply lines with a bolt cutter... a lot quicker than using a hack saw on your back... I hope he is not installing a Moen faucet. I made that mistake once. After about 2 hours of work the Moen kitchen faucet leaked. Not my connections, but up in the faucet. Had to replace AGAIN and deal with Moen local rep who thought his product was God's gift to plumbing. Never again...

Moen is not expensiveass, it’s a basic brand, last longer then the bottom barrel brands from depot/lowes. But this delta is one ugly cheap faucet! Give it 2 years

I use nothing but Moen in my house. I have hard well water and never changed the shower cartridge for over 20 years. I knew a plumber who liked Delta; he said he keeps all their parts on his truck!

I would think that being a professional, Richard would have used a tubing cutter rather than a hack saw. Looks like he also took a chunk of skin off of his left index knuckle. It even happens to the pros.

I would just unsolder the connection then just clean the old pipe and add the valves and reuse it because it is more time efficient and saves money.

Because the touch on and off requires batteries, electronics, etc. which is just another thing to break over time. The levers make so much more sense and simplify. Kind of like hybrid cars... SO many more things to go wrong in one machine.

He also forgot to tell you you got to open up the faucet in the basement to get the residual water out otherwise you'll never be able to unsolder and solder the pipes

Who has a switch for a disposer under a sink on the far end backing of the cabinet? Talk about safery ir accidental turn-on. . . That is just ridiculous and really unescessary. I hate people who think probability of sth happening or going bad is always at 100%.
