The 10 gauge is what comes in a Ranger. The 8 helps but I received a bunch more help for installing the RiteHite turret and got the wires away from the trolling motor. Thanks. Godspeed! jimmy

You should of checked out All Aboard Marine ALL SYNC pole I love mine. It seems like that pole you have the motor when turning is super slow. But with the all aboard marine pole you can scan with trolling motor and when you find a school of fish hit spot lock on the trolling motor and lift up a button and twist the handle to stay on the fish.

Consider adding tinned copper braid tubing over the sonar cabling to eliminate RF and EMI interference. And make sure all the ground wires on the boat connect to a single point. (I am an old Ma Bell tech)

Glad to see you move it off the TM. Guaranteed that is the cause of your interference issue. I much prefer Cornfield Crappie Gears Livesweep over the looks of this companies motorized unit. Much more compact and polished and has the option of a wireless pedal. Plus they were the first to do it.

I’m sure they have a good unit. The RiteHite is angled at the transducer which flattens the bottom! That helps to see more fish as well. Godspeed! jimmy

@@TwinEagleRanch - You can get a 0 degree mount direct from Garmin that’ll hold it closer to the shaft. That looks awfully high up off the shaft. The only advantage to the 0 offset is it’s easier to track your bait as it drops down. It does nothing else.

Check into ferrite rings and wrap loops through them with the wire. Get them close to the units maybe.

Rite-Hite makes a turret for Lowrance as well. I think it’s Riti-Hite Marine Products. The company is R & M Industries in Missouri I’ve been told there is a scam deal out there from up north somewhere with cheap prices. I think the only place you can buy one is from R & M or Amazon. My question is can my boat cover go over it, will it damage or bend that pole? Do you have to have a custom cover made to accommodate that?

I thought I would need to have my Ranger cover adjusted but it fit over it just fine. I was very surprised. I think it depends on the boat and the cover Pretty sure some May need to be worked on! The pole is very strong. Don’t think your cover will bend it. Thanks. Godspeed! jimmy

It wasn’t the angle. It was just pointing backwards! All I had to do was line up the pointer arrow on the Rite Hite. Simply turned my transducer all the way around and lines it up in a tree. I marker buoy cable works perfectly as well to line them up. Your going to love that Rite Hite turret. Whack em! Thanks. God Bless. jimmy

How many shaft do they have? How come the one you have has a knob at the end to pivot and rotate the transducer to perspective? All the other ones I see does not have the knob.

Use the electrical tape then a zip tie that’s not to tight but to make sure the tape stays tight. Talking about the wire on the transducer

your trolling motor power cables should not also be your electronics power cable… but unless you have a voltage drop, I don’t see what bumping the wire gauge up does for you? now, if your new cable is shielded and the old one is non shielded, I could see the benefit. another way to reduce interference from the trolling motor would be to have trolling motor power cables come up the port (left) side and the electronics harness come up the starboard (right) side. and don’t forget those ferrite snap-on beads, they will attenuate that noise. they make them specifically for power cables.

So the company is Blitz Lures and the current product is called Live foot. Works Bluetooth and wirelessly utilizing both foot switch and key fob. From my understanding they’re working with minn Kota and Garmin to pair the two together and being able to stream off there signal thus far being able to utilize a spot lock feature. This will work in the same fashion as current spot lock features on your TM keeping the transducer facing in the vicinity of the selected target. At this point both TM and Live Foot come somewhat hands free allowing the user to do what’s important….fish. All aluminum construction and low light condition and night time illuminated arrow light pointing the direction. Main shaft comes at 19-20” but you can order custom links and get an additional 20” extension shaft for say a center console boat where 60” is needed. I hope this helps bud. I sure will, Bill. I took Chris to Tulsa yesterday to get set up to get. Botox shot in her arm. Hopefully they may be able to do that today. If not today, Chris will have to wait until the middle of Sept for an opening Should help with her right arm and , maybe , loosen up the muscles. An individual dedicated wire doesn’t pick up the interference in the wiring harness. The 8 gauge is larger than the normal 10-12 gauge in many boats. Thanks. May God Bless! jimmy
