Anyone know where you can buy those little mounting inserts that fit the cross bars on a yakima set up? I have the outpost HD on my Tundra and need to mount my awning to it, but can't find those little inserts anywhere!

I use Yakima Aero bars and mount them directly to the RLD Designs canopy. It is a very unusual mounting that not everyone can do. I’ll see if I can find the correct bars and add them to the description.

What exact roof rack system do you have? I currently have rhino rack flush mount cross bars to just support some kayak j mounts that are only 800mm separated. I just bought the 270 degree awning and I don’t think my existing will work to support the new awning since it says it suggests at least 1200 mm and am looking for a new one to work. Thanks for any info!

My roof rack for the RTT is the Yakima Aero bars bolted directly my the RLD Designs canopy. Really secure and low profile.

@@AdventureBuilt What is the length of those bars? I just got the 78" HD bars and am now hoping they aren't too long. I guess a follow up question would be is what is the length of the portion of the awning that spans across the rear of the truck? I couldn't find the dimensions anywhere on their website.

The mounting on the roof looks very difficult. Worse if you're alone ! The windows metal sticks are nightmares... Wonderful tent though. In the sun and snow is there aluminium for the UV protection and heat etc protection?
