I'm Matt and this is my channel - The Atypical Workshop. Cheers Jake :) I’m glad you learned something! The main thing I learned to make sure you have someone to help all the way through. I got over confident and glued the second one by myself. It’s watertight, but the caulking was messier as a result. It was so rushed in comparison to when my dad was helping.

How's it going? I plumped for the Thule vent: www.jacksonsleisure.com/rooflights/thule/omnivent/motorised/motorhome/caravan/vent/ I chose it because it's a lower profile than the maxxair fan, and because it's modular (the skylight I bought at the same time is effectively the same product but without the fan module). Got yourself a van then?! 😃

Thank you! They are made from upvc trim I’ve got some footage showing how I made them but forgot to include it in the video - I’ll have a look this evening and get back to you - got to walk the dog first 🦮

I then used the mitre saw to cut the trim to length, on a 45 degree bevel. Lastly, I sanded them down to smooth any edges

Thank you 👍 I paid £1800 for it, 140k miles. It’s mostly rust free, but I’m scared to investigate the sill - the garage I bought it from slapped on some stonechip probably to hide something 😬. I know you’re struggling to find anything, but I found that non white vans are less likely to have been part of a fleet and therefore more likely to have been looked after
