Guys. You need to dig a little deeper, maybe 50cm. Then put a little fence Crete in mix and put some more in otherwise the stuff at the bottom doesn't go off. Throw away that little black tube that comes with the airer and get a length of bathroom pipe of the same diameter, then bang it down at least 30cm before putting the Crete in. Then cut off just below the surface and wait at least an hour before installing the airer. Otherwise you will be redoing this in a month time... don't ask😁

Brilliant descriptive video n easy to understand, I dug quite deep square hole as my spike was really long, using a soft hammer I tapped the spike into the bottom of the earth and I put back some earth back at the very bottom of the spike and patted it tight, followed by filling with water, postcrete n mix well slowly as it'll splash, twiddled the spike around gently, spirit leveled and it was done, all in all took about an hour WHALLA didn't realise it was so easy who needs a bloke.......Now onto a brick built BBQ, thank you Woodie's :)

I hope she knows that the sod portion she is putting on top would rott within a week for no soil but concrete under the roots, then why put it back in first place why not simply cover with mulch or pebbles?

You need a short level. The level you used showed the lawn was flat! 😅

This seems way too small/shallow, even for a small clothesline like that. I'd imagine if someone pulled on the clothesline, it'd tip over easily.

Stfu "expert"

@@gazbert88 What a constructive comment. It doesn't require an 'expert' to know this, it's common sense, so perhaps it's you that should 'stfu'. Seeing as I rebuilt my house, including foundations, I'd say my knowledge is adequate. Not to mention other comments here including: '...the whole rotary drier toppled over with the concrete base rolling around in the clay ground' The installer here clearly isn't an expert, for another example the use of the level is obviously not going to work remotely accurately.
@gazbert884 жыл бұрын
@@DoubleMonoLR stfu 😀 Also, did you rebuild your house because you made an arse of it the 1st time? Anyhoo by some miracle our old drier had stood 10yrs wobble free, not even a bit of concrete near it, just some plastic tube rammed into the ground. The daft sods that installed it when the house was built thought it'd be a good idea to put it a foot away from the shed door and not in the middle of the garden, so hilarity ensued if you had washing out and needed into the shed.

Sorry, this is not the way to install a ground docket. You must insert a 1 miter tube in the socket and adjusting it to be vertical using the level. You can not use a level for 5 cm length (2 inches).

An unreliable method! I followed this method to the letter. For a few weeks, all was fine until today - when my wife put some sheets on the line to dry. It is fairly breezy so a good day for drying quickly. Sadly, the whole rotary drier toppled over with the concrete base rolling around in the clay ground. I t seems to me that a whole load more concrete or supporting base is needed.
