The bypass pipe has the paper thin ring/seal and the clamp is seated properly and tight. The fumes comes out of the exhaust of the muffler, I can put my hand near the turbo and pipe clamp and feel no hot air or smell anything. Seems like running rich or the lack of catalyst not burning the raw fuel coming thru. I'm going to install a dyno jet tuner and re program the computer to compensate the RPM bypass and the new muffler, hopefully that works.

How do you eliminate the strong fumes coming out after removing the catalyst converter ?

Im having a hard time removing the wiring clip that runs from the o2 censor to the inner fender area. Any tips?

It just a tie rap holding it just cut the tie rap and put new one after?

RPM supplies a wider support bracket for the 3” pipe. Did you modify your bracket so you didn’t have to change it.

No I didn’t, my Cat Delete pipe is the 2 1/2” big mouth so it was all good 👍

When I put mine on it really ran rich and I could smell it especially with my windshield. Are you having the same issue?

No got no smell, but will take everything apart soon will put a new gasket and will pull the turbo back off got the header gasket and o rings and crush washers , so will seal it all good don’t seam to have leak but want to prevent any further problems and will do a boost leakage test again, just to make sure it’s all perfect 👍 spring is here so trail and mud is around the corner, have a good one ☝️ thanks for commenting!!!

When I called EVO, they said the X3 runs rich from the factory and putting the delete on with a windshield makes having fumes a common problem. They did say getting it tuned usually takes care of that issue because it will run leaner. Thanks for responding.

@@kraiggknary7156 good too know, but I run a full in closed cab and got no smell and no fumes all winter and when I plow my yard I’m not going fast so not blowing fumes away with high speed winds and backing up and stopping and got nothing at all, so when you say that smell your talking exhaust smell coming back in and smelling that just so we’re on the same wavelength, but will check it out this summer when I take off the side windows
