You should really run the power cables down the battery side of the car and the rca cables down the driver side of the car. That way you won’t get hum from the sub.

I am trying to find a fuse on mine for the remote wire, I have tried 3 of them and they are all constant hot, I am still looking, I need one that comes on when you turn on the key, another weird thing, I had it hooked up but on a constant hot and it sounds good till I start to drive off about the same time the automatic door locks come on, then my sub comes on a loud constant hum, till I open the doors, its like when the doors lock the sub comes on real loud, I open the door and it goes back to normal, thats the 2 problems I have.

RCA Converter
@kenh7332 жыл бұрын
Line output converter or loc, they make a lot of different kinds, some of them are just some wires with resistors, others are a little box, some have remote turn on built in so you dont have to run a remote wire, I was using a pac loc and it just quit working, im going to try a different one this time

@@luiscarrillo8775 I also have the same issue, what did you use?
@thomasleete8642 жыл бұрын
There are many different places to connect it to. You want the remote wire to be a wire which is live or turned on when the ignition in the car is on. You can find these in cigarette lighters, light units and in the stock cars stereo unit.

I connect it the same but when i start the car up the radio comes off ( no sound ) till i disconect the RCA Any help? And i can hear engine runing from sub
@kenh7332 жыл бұрын
I am having trouble with mine too, It seems there is a ground problem, I got mine all hooked up to my sub and amp and it works and plays fine not even engine noise, then when the power door locks lock i get a real loud hum from the sub, so I tried a different way and now the car seems to ignore my remote that i have plugged into fuse 19, and now it wont shut off with the key and just stays on for a few seconds then turns off with a loud pop, I am going to try a new amp and see what happens, this car is weird, I think they call it can bus where the computer takes over and turns off every thing

Step 1- Buy a sub with an amp Step 2- buy wires to connect it all Step 3- install it Got it I’m ready😂 good vid as always mate, something different always best

Why you use that rca connector for ? If you have amp?
@kenh7332 жыл бұрын
@@trifanandrei1585 The head unit (radio) dont have rca outputs so that little wire thing he used is an loc line output converter that he attached to the normal speaker wires which is called high level output so then it has rcas on it that he plugged the rca cable into that he runs to the subwoofer low level inputs on the amp
