Godking333 well I very much appreciate it. The instructions said I had to drill a hole big enough to put that clip into my ceiling & I didn't think that was right. Your video was spot on though! Well..... I bought a beautiful swag lamp for this apartment that has NO CEILING LIGHTS....... but then I winded up in a wheelchair before I could even get moved in...... and the lamp is layin in the closet... and... well .. ya know, you make it look a job I might be able to get my son to do. I was thinking I need a stud finder... so you already know how many video tips and tricks I've watched just on that topic alone. .... I think hollow ceiling is the way to go. Thanks, y'all ;)

@Godking333 Thank you so much! This is gonna sound really old fashioned in this day and age... but I'm a widow and my husband used to do this stuff for me. Thank God for KZbin or I'd never figure this stuff out. I was too intimidated to get one of these hooks before. Now I know I can do it easy peasy thanks to you. By the way, totally not trying to be rude or anything, but SWAG is pronounced with a "short a" as in Apple. I'm not the grammar/spelling police. Just thought you might want to know.
