Thank you! I bought these shelves 3 years ago and don’t have the original hardware etc. I since moved and couldn’t for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong trying to install it. It was those dang little screws underneath that I was missing. Target’s own website was useless with no instructions at all and couldn’t even find a “what’s in the box” from target. I almost tossed these in the trash. You’re a lifesaver!!!!

Hi Greg! Great video.. I can't get my drywall anchor in.. it got too stripped and using the drill is just making it more stripped. I cant get it out either. Any advice?

Howdy partner! Sorry to hear that. If you can’t get it out, I would recommend using a pair of pliers to get a better hold on it. Turn slowly in reverse and it should back out. Use needle-nose pliers if necessary with one end in the screw hole.

Howdy partner! If you poke some small holes first the anchors should be able to screw in. Maybe hit a screwdriver into the wall as a starter hole. Once the anchors get started, they should continue. Good luck!

I’ve just tried to hang this shelf today but the small screws for the final step won’t grab onto anything and keep falling out so I can’t finish the shelf, what the heck should I do? I think the pre drilled holes got stripped too much while trying to screw then in.

Hey partner. Sorry to hear that. First, I would double-check that the bracket is not upside down and that the screw holes are in the right place. If the screws are going into the small holes but it seems stripped you have a couple other options. If you have any screws lying around of similar length that are slightly larger diameter you could try them. If that doesn’t work, depending on the location of the shelf and what you are putting on it, the shelf may stay on without the screws. I don’t necessarily recommend that, but you could apply some double stick foam tape to affix the shelf to the steel bracket in lieu of the more secure screws. Lastly, you could probably return the shelf and start over with a rod with good holes. I hope it works out for you! Let us know if you get it figured out!

Sorry to hear that partner! Maybe your wall isn’t even? As long as your anchors are in all the way and the bracket isn’t bent, it should be flush. I’m not sure?

Hey partner! I am sorry to hear about you losing your screws! There are a few ways to fasten it. The best bet would be to try to find any similar size screw that might be able to fit or to consider purchasing a small multi-screw pack at your local store. If that's not an option, you could glue it along the steel posts to the wood shelf. As a warning, gluing it will make it harder to remove later on. Even without glue or screws, it should stay put pretty well on the posts as is, just depends on whether you have delicate breakables on the shelf or young ones that might knock it down.
