GREAT job on this video!!!! I just installed this Teraflex HD Drag link and Tie Rod kit in my 2007 JK. The sponge bob cut clip is 100% correct. LOL I have 108K on my Jeep and it took Thor's Hammer to the joints to drop. GREAT KIT though and I am glad I will NEVER have to do this job again. Teraflex joints are amazing and these parts will last forever! 1 Wish though. Wish they came with castle nuts and cotter pins for the added safety instead of lock nuts. What a super HD front end upgrade this kit is!

i never heard of hammering on knuckle to be bad. i always remove this way. you need a good sharp strike and it will fall free. when you strike the knuckle it makes the hole vibrate and it has the effect of getting bigger and smaller and it will release the taper. you dont need a big hammer but do get in a position where you can get some speed on the hammer. 2 to 3 good sharp hit are all you need

Like in two weeks ....this week having a shop replace the Catylic converter ( all 4 ) ....code PO420 - bank 1 * Efficiency below threshold * Cheers * J

If you feel bumps it's not necessarily the tierod/draglink as much as their ball joints. You're better off upgrading as always but you'll notice the difference more because there's new ball joints installed.

Hey thanks for the video. I am writing this comment with the hopes that you might be able to help me with a situation that I have going on. I have 79 Jeep CJ and I order something called The cure for it. It didn't come with instructions basically says that it goes on the drag link but it doesn't tell me if it goes on the side by the pitman arm or the other end of the drag link 😳. I was hoping with your experience and knowledge you might be able to tell me where it goes. I only ordered one of them and the salesperson was not very helpful, so I don't know if it take one on each end of the drag link or just one, but wich end?😳 I know that something so simple should be so difficult but I just want to learn the right way and Im asking you because you seem to be very smart about this things. Any help will be appreciated thanks.

Hey, I did a little bit of research and apparently it’s for Y drag link and tie rod connections. It’s goes on where the drag link connects with the tie rod. So basically the opposite end to the pitman arm. I’ve never used one before but I hope that helps 👍🏼

+JK P. I. M. P_NYC Agreed but in my case, I am not sure the few inches would of been worth the extra labor! Thanks for watching
@apexpredator_jku7 жыл бұрын
AdventureDex You do have a point. It is a tedious process especially if you don't plan on swapping out knuckles...you'd have to drill out the knuckles w/ a roto hammer drill, that alone is a task in itself, then tapered inserts but it isn't just for clearance purposes, also benefits geometry correction as it gets drag link to be parallel with track bar. Great upgrade either or nonetheless. I appreciate your content. You should consider doing Patreon.
