Good job bro. I didnt think there was much skill to hanging a towel bar until after seeing this. I will def measure from the floor up to get even with the other towel bars next time I have to install one and use a level. I usually just eyeball it...I use the walabot to find studs. That stud finder is the shit. But that magnetic one you use is also good...

Appreciate that Ben! If there's already a towel bar mounted I try to mount the new one at the same height just to keep things looking professional. If the towel bars are close to one another someone would be able to tell if they aren't the same height & if they are on opposite walls it definitely looks better to have them at the same height. It's the little things that we don't put much thought into that people notice & can set you apart from the rest. I've heard of the walabot but never used one. That little magnetic stud finder I use works great, no batteries & never had an issue finding a stud. When finding a wooden stud it's going to find the nail or screw which most likely is the center of the stud & you know you'll drill into the center of the wood when mounting something. Thanks for watching & stay safe out there! 🤜🤛

Thanks I'm going to hang one today. I like your method better because it seems less chance of error on the whole spacing.

@@ApartmentMaintenance I'll tell you what. I do apartment maintenance as a part time job. What I really like about it is the craftsmanship. I learn a lot from you and others. I wish people I work with would take it serious. It would give our trade more respect. Hats off to you!

@@OneManParade I totally agree with you on that. The guys who don't care & are there to collect a paycheck are the guys that are preventing the wages from going up on a national scale. Alot of companies figure the on site guys will handle all the day to day minor items & have to call a vendor to do the harder troubleshooting, or AC work so they pay what they pay. Then there's the guys who take pride in their work & want to grow but aren't getting paid what their worth so they end up leaving. Hopefully things change in the future & someone doesn't have the technician title unless they are a true technician. That's my little rant 👍

You need to be extra careful when putting towel bar above the toilet not to drill into the pipes behind sheet rock
@ApartmentMaintenance2 жыл бұрын
@@hvactechwanttobe1499 I installed the towel bar across from the toilet (opposite wall from where the toilet is mounted at). Thanks for watching Andrey 👍
