Why on earth would you install it like that? You had the countertop off. You could of installed it upside down and flipped it over and dropped it in.

What's up Jay! Cool video! I like those clips. I usually just glue bolts in but those look easier. How about a video on doing a waterfall? You ever do those? I have one coming up any tips? I have a partner company who does waterjet cnc and will give me the 45 mitre edge top and side pieces I guess. I'm thinking of buying that 90 degree suction system to aid in the process. Any tips on templating and putting these together are appreciated.

Hi Dan. Waterfalls are definitely popular right now. About once a month they come along. The big islands with both sides waterfall to the floor. It's a cool look for sure. Personally never used the 90 degree seam setter for drop legs. I've always had great results with just blue painters tape. But I will be doing more videos soon. This is one on the list. Thanks man and stay tuned. Trying to hit 1K Subs before more videos.

@@GraniteByJay Well painters tape would certainly be cheaper! They want a couple grand for 90 degree unit!! So what do you do if the floor is not flat? scribe it or just have small gaps along the bottom and fill with colored filler? Thanks Jay!

@@beachhouse131 Hi Dan. I almost always oversize the drop legs by about 1". Then when everything is dry fit, I'll contour cut to the floor. The only times I don't do this is when the floor is going in after we are done with the legs. For this I still try to nail the measurements for practice. But doesn't matter if you end up a hair short. Thanks Dan.

@@GraniteByJay Thanks Jay. Ya that's what I planned to do as i have a bit of a hump in the floor. So some guys I talk to go 46 degrees to bring the corner tight. What's your thoughts on 46 vs 45 degrees.

@@beachhouse131 46 degrees is the way to go for sure. Makes the front edge of the seam almost invisible.

I have 34'' inside measurement of my cabinet. Is there a way to install 33'' Blanco undermount sink, or do I have to downsize to 30'' ?
@GraniteByJay7 жыл бұрын
There is a way. No need to downsize your sink. Usually for that size, when using a blanco or any single bowl sink, I just attach either a 1x4 or a 2x4 to the sidewalls of the cabinet. Cut your boards about 18" in length and screw into sidewalls with silicone for a secure platform for the new sink to sit on. Remember to set the wood lower then the tops of the cabinet. The thickness of the sink you are using. I mount sinks in this way a lot. Works great and is extremely solid when done. If your sink still has a gap after the counters go on, just shim up from between the wood braces and bottom of sink flange. I'll be making a video on this install method soon. Hope this helps.

Way too much work. Install a Hercules Universal Sink Harness to the cabinet sides. Bar clamp the sink in place after siliconing. Tighten a single bolt while you sit facing the cabinet instead of struggling on your back. Clips leak; strapped sinks don't.
