Hello there, thanks for watching. The junction box was there when the house was being built. The junction box is not difficult to install. You want it secured to solid strong structure like a 2x4 and the wire going into the box is being passed through a romex connector while being strapped. Hope this helps 🍻

Hi Thuy! You're very welcome. Let's say the oven is 24" deep. That is the space needed for the oven and then another 2.5" for the electrical box. This is to be on the safe side! But to know for sure you can always measure the oven if you have it. 🍻

Has to be W30" of working surface space. If that's all the room you have to work with. It can only fit a small oven just like mine. My cut out is 28" width so it'll fit on the 30". But first you will need to find an oven you would like to install and see if it fits.

@@jackpast Just out of curiosity and for my own knowledge, what in this video warrants that statement? It looks like Kevin did a great job. He grounded the box and used the proper connectors. The tape on the wire nuts could be overkill but it isn’t wrong, I have seen that in metal boxes from time to time. It looks like all best practices and code was followed. Everyone needs to know their limitations but hooking up an oven isn’t a complex task. Often carefully following instructions and researching codes, best practices etc. yields better results than hiring a “pro” who even if fully proficient doesn’t put in the attention to detail that a homeowner would do themselves.

@KevinPon.2 жыл бұрын
John, you thought wrong. That's not how installing appliance work in cabinetry! You just don't fill gaps... If you want to fill gaps it's not hard. With the use of problem solving, design the new front face opening, screw it onto the existing cabinet with the proper smaller opening. You will probably want to color match with the existing cabinets and you will need wood filler to fill in the gaps and etc. Or you redesign the entire new front.
