can this tray be used for none slip vinyl flooring

Non-slip vinyl can be applied to these formers , they are specified in the UK above all other floor formers for accessible bathrooms by local councils and sheltered housing. Use a glue like an Altrofix 19 or similar as they spend most of their time under water, if you have been specified a water soluble glue to fix the vinyl try to use something else that is waterproof around the waste clamp as this is the cut edge that's exposed to water all the time. The Aqua-Dec EasyFit floor former should be installed along with the WaterGuard membrane. This will provide a flexible tanking solution for the wetroom. Tiles can then be applied on top of the membrane. A full warranty will apply with these two products. Surely the screw holes and edges of the rotating drain cover will leak?

All wetrooms require a tanking membrane above the floor former . Without a membrane you would indeed have a leak. Our video on WaterGuard tanking explains the next process to follow. An essential element to ensure our lifetime guarantee is in place.

Can you tile straight onto the top of this ?

No. Tiling can only take place after the next ‘waterproofing’ stage has been completed correctly. See our video on fitting WaterGuard waterproof tanking. Once the tanking process is complete then tiles can be laid. For any direct advice feel free to call our tech team on 01460 256080.

My scumbag plumber hasn't installed this property the drain is higher than the tile so there is always a puddle round the drain

If you cut the drain out, there is an adjustable height collar underneath. You might need to remove some adhesive to do this.
