Question? New pool installed, they put the light switch for lights by the equipment right off pool breaker box. Tried wiring this in but not working. Hooked white to neutral, removed black from breaker that was going down to light switch and hooked to red on receiver, and black on receiver to breaker where other black was removed? Am I totally wrong? The breaker has a white coming from neutral bar, and the black and white out of breaker goes into light switch conduit. Or do I install this receiver in place where the actual switch is inside switch box?

Nico if I was you, I would take the light switch out of the circuit altogether. The wire coming off the light switch is probably the one that needs to go on the red wire of the receiver. The breaker should have the black wire from the receiver connected to it . Disconnect the switch wiring altogether if it’s right next to your panel . But you do need the wire that is coming off of your existing switch. That is not the power wire, but the switch leg to the pool light to be on the Red of your receiver. Hope this helps ! Appreciate it, I'll give it a try tomorrow, or maybe wait till after my final inspection, not sure if any of that will cause and issue with inspection. I think there is 3 wires going into the conduit to the switch box, then out of that into transformer since they are all newer LED lights. I'll have to pull the switch and see what wires look like inside that box. ​@@YourFloridaElectrician

@YourFloridaElectrician took wires off switch, left the green grounds on it for now. Ran white wire up to bar in breaker box with all other whites (neutral) to it, black wire from breaker that went to switch is on receiver black wire and red is hooked to other black I took off switch going towards transformer. Breaker pops when powered up, am I missing something?

@nikogto Your connected to a Gfci or Afci breaker? If Gfci there is a ground fault if it’s tripping. The neutral wire for the circuit needs to be under the breaker. Take the neutral coming up from the pipe, feeding the transformer and put it under the breaker.

I bought the switch you recommended and all the wires reach except the white to the neutral board. What do you suggest?

If you have extra red or black wire from when you connected the receiver, you can use that to add onto your neutral. You will need a wire nut and some white tape to phase the red or black wire that your using to extend the neutral with some white tape so it’s understood it is a neutral wire. If you don’t have that you will need some wire that is at least the same size of that existing neutral wire for a little bit bigger is OK as well. Hope this helps
