I've watched a dozen videos on the subject and yours is the most straightforward and insightful. I especially like the use of the leg as an additional support for the back jaw. I'm off to the shop to install mine, now. Thanks for the upload and keep your bits cool!

Best video on this so far and I've watched a lot. Some make it way more complicated than it needs to be or they just like to have it installed in a weird way to suit their needs. But your approach will work best for me. I also like how you solved the problem not having large enough countersink bits. I am finally ready to install my vice, thanks for sharing.

I got the exact same vice off Amazon. The biggest mistake I made when I installed it was not making the round rod for the screw. It takes forever to screw in and out so if there's anyone going to buy the same vice make that first it will save you a headache. Once fitted the vice is excellent.

No matter what I did to mine it slanted outward at the top so it never did hold square..

I think I put some danish oil on mine but it’s probably not necessary

Any chance you can let me know what size screws you used for attaching the vice jaw to the vice itself? Great video otherwise and I’ll be following it closely to install the same vice onto my bench. Cheers mate 👍🏼

It’s been a while and I don’t appear to have any of them left but I’m guessing they must have been about 40mm long and probably an m6 size
