Quality is good, try to use the camera stand as often as possible, there is no need to hold the camera by hand, you can point at things with a pen instead. Much more convinient to watch. Thank you for the video, I don't own this product, but it helped me understand how the cards work. I'm about to buy a one mix 3 pro, which supposedly has a spare m.2 slot, so after installing this m.2 modem, I only need to somehow retrofit a simcard tray and antennas. I might be able to custom 3d print a new backpanel and salvage a phone for antennas and simcard tray... idk.. if anyone reading this has any idea how I could pull this off, let me know :)

@@20120330 there is no electricity going through the components. I did close to a dozen of these and had no issues.

Be really careful with the ribbon cables when taking off the screen. The rubber protectors for the usb ribbon cables was melted to the backside of the screen, and it broke the connector before i could even get something in there to pry it off..

Yes you have to add it to your cellular plan, usually like $10/month, but then it works like any other device that has LTE.

@@zungtonglo335 no, the laptop has to have a WWAN card slot on the motherboard (some don’t have it). The WLAN (WiFi card) is a different slot. The tablet in this video has both cards.

So not only you should have a wwan slot but another slot where to out a sim card right? Can you out an msata ssd in that wwan slot?

Correct, your device will need a slot for a SIM card, which can be different sizes. An mSATA SSD may be too long/screw in the wrong place to fit, and it may not even work if it was inserted in that slot, so I don't recommend trying it.

ratmatz that’s awesome. We have a lot of surplus as we as we stopped issuing them. They worked well for 2-3 years but Windows 10 didn’t seem as quick to operate as a regular laptop; maybe a memory upgrade would’ve helped

Yes, it's just a rubber seal but this process doesn't compromise the seal at all. Just tighten all of the screws really well with the correct Phillips screwdriver bit (so they don't strip).

Thanks for the great tutorial. I have a refurbished 7220 and wanted to add the same card. Were the wires you connected originally connected to something else on the board or just hanging free inside the tablet? I don't seem to have the power wires for the wireless card.

They were already in all of the tablets that I have opened up, not connected to anything, unless a WWAN card was already installed
