For a 1 man show I cant complain at all about anything I witnessed at all. Purge smurge that unit will run for years if you make sure you don't have any leaks and pull a good vaccum. Even though this was the easiest replacement I have ever witnessed in my life and so close to the truck, lucky.

I've seen worse. The one thing that amazes me is how people put mastic only over the tape. What is that supposed to do? Mastic is used to prevent the tape from peeling, it needs to be half on the tape and half on the airhandler. Or just don't bother using it. Another thing, braze the lines in first. This way the vacuum pump can run while you do all the other stuff.

Most installers i worked with used to literally only use mastic to cover the tape so its not visible😂

not terrible, decent video edit. Nitrogen purging is imperative, regardless of what some old school hacks will say. P-Trap would be well advised since that unit sucks on the return where the drain is. Not going to bust your chops too bad if you've been trained that way it's not entirely your fault.

I don't know what kind of tape you used, but we use the hard to take off mastic tape, than mastic over the tape. We usually add a little pigtail to the t-stat wire for vibration.

I bought foreclosed home. Outside air unit was stolen and replaced by bank but they did not air handler which is orig 1987 one put in when house built. Do air handler brands have to match?

James Varela no the "TONNAGE" of the unit have to match , IF you have a 3 ton air handler you can use a 3 ton or 2.5 ton condenser , you can go the same tonnage or half a ton smaller on the condenser 'never " bigger then the air handler.
