Hey guys, John here of realtruck.com. Today I want to show you how to install the American EZ Roll Tonneau Cover on this 2016 Chevy Silverado. Alright guys, you can see here we've got everything out of the box. It comes with everything you need to get this installed onto your truck. It comes with of course your cover itself and your side rails and you have your clamps, tension adjusters. The really cool thing is that this tonneau cover comes with a lot of freebies too. That would be your cargo retriever so that way, you can reach up whenever things slid to the front of your truck and grab it, pull it back. Plus you have in here your tonneau tonic, which is for cleaning your tunnel cover. This is a really cool emergency tool for cutting your seat belt, or busting your glass to get out of your car if you need to and also the tailgate seal. Let's get this on the truck.
We're ready to start installing our tonneau cover but before we do that, we want to go ahead and attach our tailgate seal. The way we're going to do that is we're going to take our alcohol prep pad, clean up the area where it's going to go so that way, this double sided 3M tape will stick really well and you don't have to worry about this thing coming off on you. 866-554-0581 Free shipping for orders over $100!

Thank you... very useful. Worth noting if you drive a Ram, the vertical tailgate seal pieces don't fit due to the design of the tray.

I have this type of cover on my F-150. It was dealer installed and I love the looks of it. Adds a touch of class to the truck. However, I just had to roll it up a few days ago due to picking up some furniture. When I rolled it back down, I had a heckuva time getting it to lock in place. It would lock, but there was still a gap between the top of the tailgate and the seal along the bottom of the cover. My son, who also has one, came over and even he had trouble till he finally got it. Could something be off target somewhere? Maybe some kind of adjustment or something?

is there a seal on the lip of the cover where it meets the tailgate

I have this cover on my 16 Silverado and for some reason I'm having problems with the clamps. This cover was on my 14 Silverado for a couple of months. Should I order new clamps and rail seal kit? Thanks

Joe, They recommend that the temperature is above 50 degrees. However, the warmer the temperature when installing the cover the easier it is to maneuver.
