Not bad for a very basic install!!! FYI going to the lighter good idea, but won't work on newer cars. If you're not going to the radio with remote wire the best thing is the fuse box ( the radio fuse ) they even make cheap fuse add ons that work really good. Personally i always run the remote wire with power and rca's by themselves. And for those that are using this to do their own! Ether make a amp rack, mount the amp to one none movable location, or if you really need to mount to the box. A clean install is a must, almost as important as quality wiring properly rated for the system
@jbmjbm3239 ай бұрын
I run my remote wire from the cigarette lighter socket. I have a stock radio and I jumped into the + wire going to the socket. I tried doing it from the fuse box but for some reason my 2018 Honda is a cónstant on from the fuse so I did it from the sócket like how this guy did it here but I did mine cleaner with no copper wires showing.
@davidschreckengost79599 ай бұрын
@jbmjbm323 modern cars have constant power to radio and usually the lighter! The best choice in those circumstances is the ignition fuse! Will never have power when vehicle key is off! That way you can still use the fuse insert! With it being a factory stereo you have another option. Use the line output converter with signal sense.

@@davidschreckengost7959 I have a Kicker Amp and it has a signal sense. But the problem is when I play it toward the 3/4 volume, the amp goes to protect mode so I needed an rem to keep the amp from going to protect and make it stay on always.

This video seems really easy. Just to be clear, the factory speakers or if you have aftermarket speakers don't have to be wired into the amp? Correct. Just an rca cable that goes from the infotainment screen or the radio to the amp. From the amp to the sub you connect the required wire. After that's complete? Of course I know I will have to run the positive wire and the negative, after that the remote wire, Then its complete it?

Depends on the amplifier. How many channels and what you want to do. Subwoofer amplifiers are typically monoblocks so only have one channel. This means no right and left channels for doors and no fade front to back. Just one channel. Also doors work on different frequencies. You'd need a crossover but it's not realistic. A. Five six or four channel amp can be used for subs and doors. (1 channel sub, 4 channels doors) (2 bridged channels sub. 2 front channels doors.) (Bridged 2 chanels sub, 4 channels doors.)

is it ok if the red cable is super long . coz I did this once before but my plugs broke . so i stupidly took it all out . I bought a new kit and I have to red cables now . would it work ok having 2 of them. and dos the fuse need to be next to the battery or can it be beside the passenger seat
@jbmjbm3239 ай бұрын
The fuse holder next to the battery is for your protection. If you had the fuse next to the passenger seat, the long red wire running all the way to the seat might melt and come apart and if those copper wires touchs any ground, it wiill çause sparks and even maybe fíre. So that is why the fuse iholder is next to the battery so if there is any wire problems, the fuse will blow and no power would run through the red wire. Also having it super long will make the voltage drop and the amperage it can handle will drop as well.

I forget what it's called, but you need to wire in some of those. Multiple tutorials on KZbin to help you out with stock radio amp wiring!

You need a like output converter if you have a stock headunit. Plug the rca’s from the amp to the line output converter then take the 2 sets of speaker wires from the line output converter and tap them into the your rear speakers.

So pretty much one wire goes to the battery, one connects to the back of the car stereo, but I'm confused about the blue wire, the remote wire
@ColtonRichter3 жыл бұрын
Connects to an ignition wire, where power is received when the car's power is turned on.
@Drakmaster13373 жыл бұрын
@@ColtonRichter where's the ignition wire?
@ColtonRichter3 жыл бұрын
No clue, that's why having an aftermarket radio would be useful to tap into that ignition wire. Depends on your car as well.

Shouldn't remote wire be ran with the power wire and away from the rca
@willg1253 жыл бұрын
Yes it should, but interference from a remote wire is much less than interference from the main power wire, so if you must pick between the two, choose remote.
