Absolutely excellent video. I want an electric towel rail and though at 78, I'll ask someone else to do it, i.might just do it myself!

Can I ask, I thought the socket had to be fitted outside the bathroom? Looks like that spur willbe in zone 2 next to that water outlet.

Depends on your electrics. Outlets in bathrooms are supplied differently due to health and safety. Thanks

Brilliant video, Craig is very clear and easy to follow. Would love to know why not oil filled and we would like to fit one in a caravan so is the inhibiter frost proof?

Hi, we have a variety of radiators on our website, thanks

Better to prepare the mounts before filling the rail keeping it lighter & less chance of damaging the element. It doesn't look like its in any zones (zone 1 the bath / shower basin up to 2.25m or zone 2 0.6m from zone 1) as it looks like its a sink position not a shower but saying that its not good practice to have non IP rated electrical equipment (the fused unit) in a area likely to suffer from moisture. Better to have a flex outlet (sealed) with the FCU on the outside of the bathroom, but sometimes you don't get to choose.

🎉 How do you control the temperature of the bathroom? I didn't see any thing that acted as a thermostat. I don't believe you are intended to leave this heater on all the time.
@BathroomMountainАй бұрын
Check with your electrician but you may have a controller with your boiler. Thanks

I thought the same as a couple of comments below. Can that kind of " fused spur " be installed within the bathroom ?

Naturally, the bathroom is wet. Does this Towel radiator pose a danger?
@BathroomMountainАй бұрын
If installed correctly no, however you have to remember the moisture in the air, water off towels, splashes from the shower/bath/sink etc
@BigDen0629 күн бұрын
You are wrapping the PTFE tape in the wrong direction and far too loose.

Not allowed by Law ? Wtf ? Like it is some rocket science to connect a cable... If you are doing a tutorial make a complete one. It is just a KZbin video, not official Electrician school with a diploma. if somebody dies doing a skateboard trick by watching a skateboarding tutorial, nobody is going to put a person that showed that trick to jail. 😂

The only negative I have here is that you drilled the mountings in an electrical zone. Regardless if your tester found nothing. You can’t rely on that. Hence you have 150mm zone left right up and down of any outlet

Always be careful and take precautions when drilling into your areas where cables and pipes could be
