Hi, I install an Android Car Player in my Golf 6. I get a cable by it for an extern mic but I'm also thinking that the unit don't recognize the mic. How can I change it in the settings or do I change it inside the unit?

There is no special settings to activate the external mic. Check that the mic is working and is it match with the car stereo mic connector .

That option is not built in, you may try with 3rd party app. Normally you can use it to voice recording, voice calling, voice commanding, etc.,..

It doesn't really work for me. I've ordered 3 times a external mic from Aliexpress, but the radio doesn't recognize the mic. Even if I go to settings and I change the setting from internal mic to external mic. I have also check the wiring multiple times, but that's not the problem... Any tips?

If you Mic is working properly, there may be a hardware issue. Try with a USB mic.
